Have any of the mothers who took the drug been affected? My mom has Lymphoma non- Hoskins. I have had water filled cysts in my body. The first in my cervix at 18, another formed that was 15″ & 7.1 lbs. on my ovary when I delivered my second child. I have another in a tube going to my kidneys, which can not be taken out unless something happens. The size is 2.9cm.
Feel free to contact me thru my email for now.

DES is the curse that keeps on giving. I have problems, my son had an operation because of it, my daugther has had problems all her life, and now she is being checked for breast cancer. I could go on but what’s the point? I had to stop singing on t.v. because of a problem DES has done to me.

Thanks for the info RE: WCVB and their DES segment. I wrote asking if they’d consider re-running it, and received a reply back, saying while they’re watching the case in Boston they don’t have plans to re:run that particular show, unfortunately. I wish they would, as I missed it 1st time around.

My mother was given DES in her 1st trimester when pregnant with me, as she had miscarried (only 1 time). What a shame these doctors handed out drugs while not understanding the full effects and harm they could do, and then continued prescribing them long after the negatives were known. The effects of the drug altered my reproductive organs and I was not able to have children. Now I read DES daughters have a much higher than normal incidence of breast cancer, and with BC running in my family (maternal grandmother, mother, sister) it’s one more thing to have in the back of my mind.

If the drug companies responsible for causing the DES tragedy acted like real human beings it would certainly help. Instead, we get attitudes such as the ones seen posted on this site:

Search DES on the site and see what you come up with. One clown had the audacity to say he didn’t care how much we sued for- he had his future secured with millions of dollars stashed away. I say we should BURY them.
