Send Emails To Media Outlets About DES Trial

6 Jan

If you are not on Twitter, you can email the following Boston and National media outlets about the historic DES Breast Cancer Trial! Below is a possible message for you to copy and send, along with the contact info.

Please cover the historic DES breast cancer trial. Opening statements will take place this Tuesday, January 8 at 9 a.m. at the John Joseph Moakley U.S. Courthouse in Boston, MA in Courtroom 8 on the Third Floor.

The attorneys of Aaron Levine & Associates will advocate on behalf of DES daughters in the first historical diethylstilbestrol (DES) breast cancer trial in Boston federal court.  The case, Fecho v. Eli Lilly, seeks to hold pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly & Company responsible for negligently marketing DES, a mega-dose synthetic estrogen, as safe for use in pregnant women.  Eli Lilly ignored studies published as early as the 1930s that reported the carcinogenic and teratogenic risks of DES, and rushed to market the drug as a miscarriage preventative without controlled testing.  Because of their prenatal exposure to the drug, DES daughters are at a 105% increased risk of developing breast cancer beginning at age 40.  By age 50, the risk of DES breast cancer increases to 285%.

Hi Patricia Royall from Maine here: I’ve just tweeted about 30 times per your request and in addition to other media I think it’s important to contact. Just so you know. It’s impossible to cut and past your email suggestion into an email with the gray areas on your website intruding in the email. I just wrote my own. Hope it helps. Good luck and thanks for the updates. Patricia

If you copy the message into a Word doc and clear the formatting by selecting “text only” when you paste, it’ll free up the message for copying/pasting in emails and webforms. Hope this helps!
